  • 2. Sacred Space Principles

Anahata is a sacred space governed by principles that keep the space clean and uplifting. By participating in Anahata services, you agree to uphold our Sacred Space Principles.

A Heart-Centered Practice and a Caring Presence: At Anahata, we commit to a heart-centered practice, bringing a mindful caring attitude to all we do. Through the practice of mindfulness and presence, we bring a caring approach to ourselves, each-other, and our surroundings. At Anahata, we uphold a sacred regard for our shared space, treating it with reverence and care.

Radical Self-Responsibility: We take full responsibility for our energy, actions, choices, and experiences. We embrace this principle of radical self-responsibility, recognizing that we are the creators of our reality. By taking ownership of our thoughts, emotions, and actions, we shape our destiny and our experience with intention, integrity, and alignment with higher awareness and our higher selves. We choose positivity, compassion, and commitment to personal growth in times of challenge.

Dharma (Natural Law): We honor the principles of dharma, or natural law, recognizing that the universe operates according to timeless cosmic principles and we are interconnected with all of creation. By choosing to align with higher principles and natural rhythms and cycles, we can live in accordance with our highest purpose and highest good.

Unity with Mother Nature: We recognize our interconnectedness with the natural world and honor Mother Nature as a sacred source of holistic health, wisdom, healing, and inspiration. By cultivating a deep reverence for the Earth, we align our actions with the rhythms of nature and aim to live in natural harmony with all beings.

Honoring the Sacredness of All Life: We honor the sacredness of all life and treat ourselves, others, and all beings with reverence, compassion, and respect. By embodying the principles of ahimsa (non-violence) and honoring the ideals of Love, Truth and Compassion, we create a space of integrity where all are welcome to heal, grow, and thrive.

Satya (Truthfulness): We honor Truth in our thoughts, words, and actions. We speak with honesty, integrity and authenticity, avoiding deception and falsehood. We embrace clarity, and transparency in our communications as a foundation for health, trust, and genuine connection within our community. We cultivate a space for open communication and expression in the process of light and shadow work.

Asteya (Non-Stealing): We respect the property and possessions of others, refraining from stealing or taking what does not belong to us. We also recognize that time and energy are valuable resources, and we practice intuitive awareness and honor boundaries in our interactions with others.

Tapas (Discipline): We cultivate discipline and self-mastery in our personal and spiritual practices. Through consistent effort and dedication, we overcome obstacles and limitations on the journey towards realizing our full potential and embodying truth.

Svadhyaya (Self-Study): We commit to self-reflection and cultivating self-awareness as a foundational means of personal growth and as essential components of the spiritual journey. Through self-study, meditation, contemplation, and the practices that resonate that could include journaling, studying sacred texts, light and shadow work, astrology, we uncover hidden patterns, meaning, and potentials, empowering ourselves to make conscious choices and live more authentically.

    Gratitude and an Abundance-based Mindset:

We cultivate an attitude of gratitude and presence, recognizing the beauty and abundance that surrounds us in every moment. We endeavor to embrace life's joys and challenges with contentment and equanimity (Santosha) and trust in the Divine (Ishvara Pranidhana). We interact, exchange, and co-create value with one another from a spirit of abundance, gratitude, trust, and creativity. This conscious shift towards gratitude not only enhances one’s individual well-being but also cultivates a culture of generosity, compassion, and interconnectedness within our community.

This is a space for holistic learning: We support ourselves and each other by staying open in mind and heart, allowing for missteps and course corrections as we integrate the lessons of life. We cultivate wisdom, co-create solutions, invite greater alignment, love, health, empowerment, and wellness into life as individuals and as a community.
